About Pondulac

Home Page breed standard
PONDULAC is French for PON of the Lake.  No, PONs are not water dogs, nor are they French, but our kennel is located in Minnesota, and northern Minnesota borders the largest of the Great Lakes, Lake Superior.  Our states boasts over 10,000 lakes, and some of the purest are in our extraordinary Boundary Waters area.  The Voyageurs were among the first Europeans to explore this pristine environment, so the kennel name pays homage to that heritage.

If you have ever owned a PON, you know how incredibly curious and adventuresome THEY are, so it seemed like a fit... Pondulac, PON of the Lake.

Pondulac kennel is home to some very special PONs and Shelley Potter.  Shelley lives in Eagan, Minnesota and teaches speech, theatre and English and Apple Valley High School.  When not busy correcting papers, planning lessons or directing shows, she is actively in involved in raising, showing and bragging about her dogs-her major passion.  Although not so fond of the snow herself, her PONs revel in the cool temps and snow drifts!
